Advice for Starting the Class
Clothing should be close-fitting yet allow the freedom of movement. Socks should be worn, but they should be non-slip.
Jewellery should be minimal
Do not eat a heavy meal before a session, allow at least two hours to elapse.
You should not exercise under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Do not attend class if you are feeling fatigued or ill.
Please telephone or text if you cannot make it - I will try and fit you into a catch-up class if it suits.
If in doubt about your ability to participate in the class consult your doctor.
For maximum health benefit and weight management, pilates will need to be combined with a healthy balanced diet and cardiovascular work. Pilates is not a cardiovascular programme and although it has many benefits for the health of the heart, I recommend that you participate in some aerobic exercise.
