Pilates with Ball

Advice for Starting the Class

  • Clothing should be close-fitting yet allow the freedom of movement. Socks should be worn, but they should be non-slip.

  • Jewellery should be minimal

  • Do not eat a heavy meal before a session, allow at least two hours to elapse.

  • You should not exercise under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Do not attend class if you are feeling fatigued or ill.

  • Please telephone or text if you cannot make it - I will try and fit you into a catch-up class if it suits.

  • If in doubt about your ability to participate in the class consult your doctor.

  • For maximum health benefit and weight management, pilates will need to be combined with a healthy balanced diet and cardiovascular work. Pilates is not a cardiovascular programme and although it has many benefits for the health of the heart, I recommend that you participate in some aerobic exercise.
